A couple of weeks ago I decided to mix up my editing and retouching routine with Wacom Cintiq 13HD Pen Display (before getting a Cintiq I did all my editing with a Wacom Intuos4 Medium Pen Tablet.) Nowadays I spent a lot of time sitting on top of my yoga ball, behind a desk color toning and airbrushing for hours. And with many long hours you can start feeling some back and neck pains from looking down and slouching. I’m pretty keen on taking care of your body [Redesigning for a Healthier and Creative Lifestyle] especially when it comes to combating the evil effects of sitting in place for a long time. Because of the hours spent sitting and editing I decided it was time to pick up the coveted Cintiq. When propped up the screen can sit at a more natural eye level and combined with the ability retouch directly on the screen the tablet transform the process of retouching to a drawing or painting on an easel experience.
Did I mention that I can edit directly on the screen with pen pressure sensitivity?! Hands down this device has changed the experience of retouching for me. I look forward to it as another creative outlook instead of a meticulous, tedious chore 🙂 Let’s get into unboxing!
As a few people from Facebook have discovered, sometimes I broadcast my retouching sessions through Google Hangout parties. Add me to your circles follow me on my other social media profiles if you want to join the next one.
