Here’s a particular story of how an image from this Jimmy Tatro set was made:
We started out by walking up and down the broad walk at the quintessential Californian pier that is Santa Monica doing touristy things. Then a a guy stuck a parrot into Jimmy’s mouth and then Jimmy jumped into a trash can.
Life is either one big party or nothing at all. Wouldn’t you agee?
Never have I tore down a set and left it smelling like Spring Break before, thank you Jimmy for adding a little something special to this shoot. Built a wall out of 800 red cups, then bust through it with bottles of champagne. Life according to Jimmy is good.
A couple months ago I got to shoot with the comedic duo of Magic Hugs. If you check out their videos you perfectly see that these guys are ridiculous! I knew they would be a fun way to make use of the last 10ft~ of my white seamless. 10ft is not long enough to do full body portraits and since the majority of my sessions are out on locations (plus I don’t like to waste!), this roll of paper has been collecting dust in my garage for some time now. Therefore why not poke holes in it and throw your talent through it!
This was also my first session that I processed with Lightroom 4. The way the program handles raw files and renders tones is a big improvement over LR3. Click the button below to download a copy of preset I made for this session.
