I’ve been spending my downtime exploring mother nature’s backyard this summer. Seeing and documenting my trips have become a new hobby for me and gives me a new subject matter to photograph. Who know’s maybe one day I can be traveling lifestyle/portrait photographer. Last weekend’s adventure took me and a couple of friends to Zion National Park. We spent about two days trekking through Emerald Pool,The Narrows, Angels Landing, and at the end decided to dive into Virgin River to cool off. the temperature was a scorching 104°F and at this rate I think it’s safe to say that I’ll never be one of those pale, fair skinned Asian Americans. California-tan ftw! Since some of the trails would require hiking though chest-high water I decided to document this venture using solely my GoPro Hero 3 and my iPhone.
Both of which have underwater housings. The GoPro has its standard housing and my phone has a red Lifeproof case. Since I couldn’t take any of my work or analog film cameras along I thought this trip would be the perfect opportunity to experiment with making a video montage (in addition to my phone snapshots.)

Thanks for stopping by! Until next time…. FORD THE RIVER!
Haha, have you caulked the wagon? If Oregon Trail has taught me one thing, it’s that you never ford the river.
Looks amazing!! Inspiring me to possibly get a GoPro and get out there as well!
