Shameless Maya

During my month stay in New York I visited Harlem for the first time to photograph Shameless Maya. My friend introduced me to Shameless’s YouTube channel where her mantra of Be Shameless, Do You Boo, and not being afraid to shamelessly promoting yourself as an artist caught my attention. –You know how I love finding wacky people of character and quirk to take a portrait of! We shot around a bridge and even her dog Jackie decided to join us.

 

 

 

 

 

We made some friends along the way as well!

 

 

Little does the world know, I got Maya to smile like this by dangling myself off the ledge of an apartment building.
