6 Annoying Things Tourist With Cameras Do

Over the holidays I spent a lot of time with my family doing family things such as visiting theme parks. And man oh man I didn’t realize how annoying tourists (maybe even anyone) with a camera could be! …and now I understand when my friends scoff at me for instagramming mundane things like telephone wires.

Here’s a list of 6 annoying things tourists with cameras do that I’m sure we’re all guilty of!

1. Stopping in the middle of a walkway to take a photo of a tree, building, sky, or some other ordinary thing. Pull over dang it!

During my last job in New York I had this problem with slow walking tourist. However this issue was remedied with the Japanese Trolling Bike Bell Method 🙂

2. Use flash photography everywhere! Including inside amusement park rides.

My family and I were riding on a log ride similar to the photo below and this lady on our log keep taking photos with flash! Please be courteous to fellow log riders. I’m sure the theme of the ride wasn’t meet to have a random flash every 20 seconds. On top of that I’m sure her photos weren’t exposed properly.

3. Hold cameras wrong.

Yes, use four fingers to support the weight of your camera. That’s an excellent way to increase camera shake!

4. Taking photos of every single solitary moment.

Omg we’re eating!… Click!
Omg we’re walking on an ordinary road… Click!
Omg a tree!… Click!
Omg a cow on the road!

5. They hover!

Especially when you’re with a travel group or tour and they keep hovering right over you with their camera. Alert, waiting, and ready to pounce on another everyday, common object that has been glorified in the name of tourism.

6. The iPad + case photographer… Why???
