I’m on a quest to find the perfect point and shoot camera for day trips and travels in which a DSLR would be bulky and inconvenient. A camera that I’ve recently got my hands on is the Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mirrorless Mro Four Thirds Digital Camera. It’s name is quite a mouthful and it also packs a mouthful! You can read more about its technical specs over on dpreview. So far I’m quite pleased with this camera. Its most attractive features are:
- Its grip. Its amazing, perfectly molded grip. It’s like the camera was designed to fit my hand like a glove.
- Electronic Viewfinder
- Fast autofocus
- User friendly menus (I’m sorry X100s, you are too confusing)
I’ll have a more thorough review once I’ve had more time to play with the camera, for now let’s see what’s inside!

So far the camera has been very lovely for both candid shots in natural light and in studio images with lighting.
