Packing: Short Shoot To Go

A common occurrence recently is that I don’t have a lot of time to make images. To give you an idea of what that looks like imagine a world where being early is consider being barely on time. That’s how much of a time crunch I’m being put in. A weekend ago I drove out of Los Angeles around 6am and headed east to Las Vegas. I had a shoot with a DJ there later in the evening and like my Manny Pacquiao shoot, this was another situation where I would have >30 minutes to record a video interview and make portraits of the high profiled talent.

The magazine I was shooting for booked me a hotel room for the day. I checked-in as soon I arrived and tried to get a nap in before my call time. I caught a couple of Z’s, but for the most part my mind was restless. Despite popular belief there wasn’t much I could in Vegas. The hotel I was staying at was conveniently only 15 minutes away from the location I’d be shooting at and I couldn’t leave in case of the event that the talent’s schedule changed (someone is always running late or early.) Thus imprisoned by my boredom I recorded an impromptu vlog to share what I had packed with me.
